Replies are by far the best way to grow your account.

Essentially, you’re taking advantage of the “target” account in 2 ways:

• Posting something that the “target” account’s audience would resonate with and you get a follow from them
• Getting a follow-back from the “target” account

Here’s a recent example of me replying to an account’s post and immediately getting a follow-back.

But we still need to be strategic with our replies instead of spraying and praying.

Here’s the framework I use to reply to other accounts:

Identify who to reply

Identifying the accounts to engage with is key.

I’m picking a losing battle if I choose to reply to Vitalik or CZ, because their comments are flooded with bots and other accounts trying to get their attention.

I’d focus on these different account type to reply to:

1. Thought leaders in your space (> 20k followers)

These are ones you have to reply ASAP to capture mindshare.

One insightful reply can give you tons of views (and hopefully followers).

The reach you can get is based on how many views the original poster gets (which is much higher than yours)
