Avoid digital storage

I do not recommend keeping a digital copy of your seed phrase.

Not even:

• Copying your seed phrase and storing it on the clipboard

  Even though some wallets prompt you to do so

• In your notes app

• A screenshot on mobile/desktop

  Malware can detect your seed phrase through a technique like Optical Character Recognition (OCR)

• Cloud backups like iCloud or Google Drive

  Your iOS/Google account could get hacked which exposes your seed phrase

• Password managers (They can get compromised too e.g. LastPass hack)

But it’s still possible to use a hot wallet for DeFi/airdrops.
