I’ve been burnt out by completing tasks for airdrops without getting good returns.

So I’ve become more picky with the airdrops I interact with.

I’m following Zeneca’s approach to airdrops:

Be open-minded and try anything new in Web3.

That means trying new protocols and chains whenever they’re launched.

One of the ways I’m exploring new protocols is through campaigns.

Here were some of my wins after completing campaigns:

• Galxe campaigns ‘forced’ me to deposit liquidity into ZKsync DApps, which I may not have done by myself. This increased my TWAB on the chain that led to a higher allocation (shared my breakdown here).
• Galxe campaigns helped me qualify for the MANTA airdrop, where earning points through onchain tasks gave me a decent allocation.
• Layer3 campaigns helped me to interact with new DApps that are powered by Pyth’s oracles, which I would not have interacted with otherwise (and qualify for PYTH).

But that also doesn’t mean that I’m chasing every campaign from a tokenless project for airdrops:

Time is our most precious asset, and we have to do everything to protect it.

I’m choosing to interact with projects that I would continue using even without the incentives:

They have to be good enough that I’ll continue using them after the airdrop.

This is one of the factors I’m using to spot the best airdrops (shared here).

In particular, I’ll skip campaigns that feel too grindy (especially if there are tons of social or repetitive tasks), as they’ll become another job.
